    SOOOO TIRED!

I don't get it. I sleep 8-10 hours a night regularly and yet for months now, I have been unable to really *wake up*.  I seem to wake up ready to go back to bed.  My head is cloudy.  I am restless. I just have no energy for ANYTHING.

I hate doctors and don't really want to go see one (I went for the same reason once in high school - he didn't really have anything useful to tell me).  Each time I give blood, the nurses tell me I have a great iron level.  I've tried drinking more water, which is *supposed* to give you more energy.  I've tried taking naps (they just make me groggy).

Does anyone else just feel TIRED??? What do you do??  Sometimes I feel like I could sleep for a month (and sometimes I'd like to)... But life doesn't really accomodate such lazy activities very well...

Mono?  Sleeping disorder?  Chronic Fatigue Syndrome???

I don't know. But I'd sure like to wake up some morning and actually have energy to figure it out!

Haha, Matthew, I think I would shoot myself in the foot if I ever had a sleep pattern like yours - working for you or not!!  (no offence)

Ams - I've considered the possibilities of mono - but I would prefer to not have to deal with the repercussions of that illness - so I have decided to rule that one out ;)

Friend - Thanks for the concern.  I'm going to continue working at "waking up" myself a bit before heading to a doctor - getting a little more exercise, eating healthier. If that doesn't work, perhaps I'll dust off my doctors phone number and see what he has to say.

As much as you don't want to go, you need to see a doctor. The possible causes for the symptoms you describe are legion. I'll check back periodically. Let us know how you're doing.
